This Privacy Policy explains how Uma ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you visit joinuma.tech or submit information through our waitlist, contact, or partnership forms (collectively, the "Site").
Uma is an early-stage project, not yet incorporated as a legal entity. References to Uma mean the individuals operating and developing the project.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
Waitlist/founder signup: name, email, LinkedIn or professional profile link, industry, company stage, community-interest preference, referral source
Investor signup: name, email, investor type, firm/organization name, role/title, LinkedIn profile, sector interests, investment stage preferences
Contact form and partnership inquiries: name, email, and any message content you submit
Any credentials or supporting materials you choose to submit (e.g., grants, patents, traction data) once matching features are live
Information collected automatically:
Usage data via cookies, pixels, and analytics tools: pages visited, referring URLs, device/browser type, approximate location, and interaction patterns
We do not currently collect payment information, as Uma has no paid product live

To operate the waitlist and respond to inquiries
To evaluate and communicate about early access, private beta invitations, and partnership applications
To improve the Site and understand aggregate usage patterns

We retain personal information for as long as needed to operate the waitlist and respond to your inquiry, or until you request deletion. If you are not admitted to private beta or do not engage further, we delete or anonymize your data within [insert retention period, e.g. 12 months] of collection.
